I am Christal Wood, founder of Cottonwood Designs. As your designer you are entrusting me with your home. I want you to experience joy every time you walk through the door. I work alongside my clients in a collaborative manner. I bring together expertise and inspiration from a wide range of skills. From concept to completion every client and project is unique.

Outside of design work you can find me travelling to new and exciting places with friends and family, spending time at the cottage or skiing down a mountain.

Stencil Design & Installation

Want to create a standout feature? A stencil might be just the thing. Whether you’re looking to add personality to a blank wall, create a unique focal point, or highlight an architectural detail, I’ll help you choose a design that fits your space and style.

From selection to installation, I personally handle every step to ensure the finished piece looks intentional, elevated, and completely one-of-a-kind.

Renovation Consulting

I collaborate with your builder, contractor, or tradespeople to support your renovation project with:

Fixture and finish suggestions
Tile and color scheme selection
Wood and stone finish pairings
Creative solutions and practical advice

How It Works

My process begins with a discovery consultation during which I take the time to understand your style so that I can design a room to your taste and liking. We will discuss the budget and timing of the project.

I will provide a look/mood board of color scheme, furniture ideas, decor items and artwork that could enhance your room.

We review the design boards and concepts together, refining details until you are 100% happy.

To complete the project I will oversee furniture placement, artwork installation and add finishing touches to make sure your space is complete.
